Governor’s Harbour is a quaint town situated in central Eleuthera overlooking the harbor. Squires Estate is on the hill and is within walking distance of grocery stores, a couple of restaurant and the gorgeous pink sands beach, French Leave, is under a mile away. The trip to the beach is walkable but there is also ample parking there should you be planning to bring beach chairs, umbrella and cooler box (all supplied in your house).

- Your morning coffee and a some gift and souvenir shopping – Squires Village Coffee & Gift Shop. Situated on the Squires Estate property makes for an easy, short walk. Find location on google maps: Squires Village location
- Closest restaurants are the Buccanner Club (Coco and Cream ice cream shop in there as well) and is situated across the street from Squires Estate. 1648 at the French Leave Resort is a short drive away and is walkable if you feel like taking an evening stroll.
Beaches nearby:
French Leave Beach is a magnificent 1-mile pink sands beach, even on its busiest days there are only a few people on the beach. This beach is less than a mile away.
Twin Coves Beach is a really cool space and has some great snorkeling, less walkable but a short drive or cycle.
Ten Bay Beach is situated about 15 minutes drive south of Governor’s Harbour, this a flat, shallow waters beach that is great for relaxing with small children. Parking is a bit more challenging but not too bad.
Receivers Beach (Coco da Mama) is about 15 minutes drive north of Governor’s Harbour. Also a flat, shallow, beautiful beach. Parking is easy here.
