We are in the middle of a particularly active storm season, which has seen the islands of Abaco and Grand Bahama to our north absolutely devasted by hurricane Dorian. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by this extreme disaster. It was very scary in the days running up to the arrival of Dorian, not knowing if it would hit us directly or pass us by. The generosity from the world in assisting with the aftermath to this event has been extremely touching, and we have been completely overwhelmed by the sheer number of friends and guests that have reached out to us to make sure that all is well here on Eleuthera. We are so fortunate that the hurricane passed us far enough to the North that we experienced nothing more than a few stormy days, but the winds and storm surge that punished the other islands were not present here at all, and we were left unscathed.

On a rather exciting note, we have received our stylish new tent, which has been custom made for us to cover our function deck right on the waters edge. This incredible venue overlooking the Caribbean is set to become a favourite wedding venue in the future, and we already have a number of events booked for the upcoming season. So exciting!

Our new website is finally ready for launch, and bookings for the winter season are steadily pouring in. We now have a booking link directly on the website in order to make it easy and accessible to check dates and availability. Check it out here at www.squiresestatebahamas.com
